• Thank you for your inquiry! To mute the sound on your Insignia™ .9 Cu. Ft. Compact Countertop Microwave, follow these steps: In standby mode, press and hold the 8 button for three seconds. You will hear a long beep, indicating that the buzzer is turned off. To turn the buzzer back on, press and hold the 8 button for three seconds again, and a long beep will sound, indicating that the buzzer is turned back on. Keith | Insignia Support

• It's not that loud, and it does have reminder beeps like every couple of minutes that you forget. One beep the first time then two. Pretty convenient
