• I don't see that anywhere in the paperwork. I've ordered cables on line that are supposedly Appke cords and they are terrible. Even though the vendor says they are Apple half the time they didn't charge. The insignia cord has been great.

• Hello parhaz! I believe that this cable is Mfi certified. I have the Insignia 10' cable which is definitely Mfi certified, only compatible with Apple devices, and certified by Apple to work with their charging bases, either 5V or 10V. I would never use and other charger bases, like Samsung, Sony, or others as they may cycle differently or have different voltages.

• I don't know if the cable is MFI certified but it lasts longer than the actual Iphone charger.
