• Your Apple TV will wirelessly work with an app on your phone called "remote" from the App Store, but you cannot plug your phone into it. The Apple TV only plugs into the TV. It is a product that wirelessly connects to all other apple products to stream using "home sharing" on iTunes.

• I don't know which cord will work for an iMac o if it is even possible. I know you need an HDMI to connect to a TV. I would recommend contacting Apple customer support. They will be able to provide better answers to this question.
