No. It’s just a rubber cap cover that attaches to the pen to keep you from losing the cap.

No, it does not. One part slips onto the Apple Pencil itself, and the other, the cap of the Apple Pencil goes into. If you want your Apple Pencil to stick to your iPad, I would recommend the Apple Pencil Strap from Insignia. It doesn't use magnets, but it's easy to strap onto your iPad when not in use.

The Apple pencil does not come with an attachment accessory and I do not think the cap is magnetic either. I bought the very inexpensive accessory that slides on the pencil and the cap and keeps them together. Had I not bought this I’m sure I would have already misplaced the cap
