No, this model only converts digital signals to analog.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it does convert analog to digital. We have an outside antenna hooked up. We also have an older similar converter (RCA) that does not have HDMI ports. With the old converter connected via coax, we were able to receive 34 local channels. But with the newer converter connected via HDMI cables, we were only able to receive 4 local channels; the quality was however, far superior. I'm unsure why we were unable to receive the 34 local channels using the HDMI connection, but in order to continue receiving them, we just reverted to the older converter connected via coax!
