• This adaptor will work if the laptop has a DisplayPort connector. Those are different than the older VGA or DVI ports common on most laptops. This one is not for a USB port.

• Unfortunately, no. If you have USB 3 on your laptop, possibly there might be an adapter for that, and some newer laptops and tablets have a mini-HDMI port, but you must have the correct mate to the port available on your laptop and then the other end must be the HDMi plug.

• Unfortunately this cable will not work. It has the USB plug to connect to your desktop/laptop but the other end of the cable can only be connected to an IDE/SATA hard drive.
