Yes it has over charge protection. The amber lights on the side of each docking station will go out when fully charged.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The light goes out after an appropriate time to get a full charge, it would appear it only charges to a full charge. I have noticed that if the controllers are bumped, the light comes on for a short time then goes off if the controllers are charged. No issues so far with the controllers being fully charged when removed.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it does. I think it's the same way like the controllers. Once they charge that's it the lights turn off. When I charge my controllers and they are fully charged the yellow light stops blinking. Haven't had a problem with this charger yet.
