“Just bought this, could someone please explain what the “extended system button with IR pass thru” does? It’s the button on the front of the charger with the 3 lines above it. Nothing in the manual mentions it, only the outside of the box.”

If you put the dock in front of your Xbox to use the front USB, it blocks the IR receiver on the Xbox. That allows it to rebroadcast the IR signal that comes from your remote so the Xbox can still get the IR control signal allow the remote to work.
