“Can this charging station be used for an Xbox One controller? I could have sworn I saw in a blog that you could even though it says on the box it’s only compatible with the Xbox X/S Series”

This pertains more to the actual battery replacement then the station itself. I had one Xbox Series X controller and a Xbox Controller. I thought they looked the same and figured I'd try to add the rechargeable battery and cover to my Xbox one controller. The battery pack fits, the cover doesn't. Check the picture I attached, you can see the slight difference between the charger cover vs the cover that comes with the xbox one controller.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as you use the included batteries it will work in an Xbox one controller. I don't think the batter cover will fit though. They close slightly differently on the series x controllers. The battery packs replace double a batteries exactly the same way so they should work just fine. But I would use them without a cover. That's just asking for the battery to come out while playing.
