“What is the min/max size for a center grommet hole mount? The grommet on my desk is off to the side, so I may look at drilling a new one. Or does the hole just need to be large enough to get the bolt through?”

The hole just needs to be large enough to get the bolt through. It's pretty slick. They have a nut on the inside of the tube where a second threaded piece will bolt to.
