Will this body harness fit an 8 year old? null

I would think so the adjustment goes really small

It's a pretty simple universal design, I think if adjusted correctly and to it's legit capabilities, I think y'all should be ok! :)

It appears that this product has an adult harness. I'm not sure how adjustable it is. I do know that GoPro makes a child harness, which is not that expensive. Hope this helps.
