Does it work with the Garmin Drive Smart 65 null

I don't know about how the Drive Smart 65 unit attaches. All I can say is that I have the Garmin Nuvi 52L, Garmin Drive 51LMT-S and Garmin Drive 52 that all use the round mounting piece that attaches to the back to the Garmin units to accept the ball on the dashboard mount or suction cup window mount and it works fine. It all depends on how the unit attaches to the mounting for the vehicle that came with the unit.
