“I want to mount this bracket on to a concrete post which is 15 and one/half inches wide. Will this work re the width of the post relative to the bracket settings/ And what is the best way to mount this into concrete? Epoxy bolts, lead shields, ?????”

It depends on how thick the concrete is but I would HIGHLY recommend getting some toggle bolts from a hardware store. It’s what I use on everything I mount to a vertical surface and they have NEVER failed me.
