I believe they are basically the same case. However, the one you are asking about is compatible with the NEW 3DSXL. When they made the other Insignia Go Case, the NEW 3DSXL wasn't in production. I think all they changed was the compatibility on the cardboard hang tag.

No, those two products have different model numbers. The link you posted is the newer product, though they seem to be very similar.
