“My son got a hp monitor for his ps4, but the monitor doesn't have built-in speakers. There's no way to connect speakers to the monitor, only HDMI output. (I'm new to all this so bare with me if my wording is off :)) Would this converter work for this? TY!”

The converter changes to HDMI to RCA jacks which will give you the yellow the red and the way the red in the way to the stereo so if you put a splitter in that then yes you could of power ups of a suspect speakers or headphones or city to an amplifier and they would have sound
