Short answer - yes, you should, pending HDMI out to RCA in. I was able to play a video onto my Sony DVD burner via my Samsung laptop. I was also able to record a local public news story I was on that I had saved to my DVR (Spectrum cable box) onto my DVD recorder. HDMI out to RCA in (Yellow, Red, White) quality was not as great, (but by no means bad) but I was able to show people the show I was in AND play the DVD onto a DVD player of a person who did not have a smart TV and only had the ability to watch DVD’s for entertainment (no cable or WiFi in the senior living place they were staying at). I would assume your TIVO VOX has an HDMI out. If so, you should be able to do what I did and send it. Your dvd/vcd recorder should Normally only be able to record what comes through the ports, the raw data. Unlike ripping data from a disc and saving it, or copying it, this converter is literally only converting data as it is being fed live from one device to another as you watch it in real time.
