• I have used this converter to send audio and video form my laptop (HDMI end) to a TV (RCA connectors) and I did not have a problem with the audio or video. I am guessing if you just use the audio RCA connectors (the white and red), not connecting the yellow, the converter should work. The instructions in the box are most helpful. GL

• You can connect your computer to the converter using an HDMI cable and connect the converter to the stereo via RCA cable (red and white).
