Hi Marty, I own this exact cable, and I send videos from my laptop to my 55 inch Samsung flat screen TV with no issues. It should work perfectly with no issues, as long as the micro hdmi is an “out” and not an “in” on your Samsung note. In most cases it is an “out” but always want to double check that to be sure
