• Not sure I understand the question. This keyboard cord has a standard type A male USB connector. HP desktop computers and many laptops most likely would have a type A female port, so this keyboard should plug right in to those (don't force it, it only goes in one way so turn it over if it doesn't seem to fit). Newer devices may have a type C USB port which looks like a small oval. You would need an adapter for those. My HP and Dell desktops have USB type A ports and my Surface Go has a type C port, for example. Hope this helps.
