• You can charge it while playing. It slips right into the battery socket, so no need to change the back cap to hold the battery in. All you need is a usb c cord to plug it into the controller itself and it'll charge.

• We leave the battery in the controller and the USB cord stays plugged into the Xbox. To charge the battery we either plug it in and continue playing or we plug it in when the controller is not being used. My kids love having the option to just plug the controller in and continue playing when the battery goes dead. It was a great purchase!
