No, it will not auto shut off. The power switch is a manual slider switch and there is no auto-off or standby feature. The battery does have a very long run time of more than a day though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've never used them with the echo dot or any other "home assistant", but they do not shut themselves off when my phone or laptop disconnect. I don't imagine the dot would be any different...it connects to devices such as these speakers just like anything else, via a Bluetooth connection. Obviously the speakers will stop producing sound when the source (a Bluetooth connection) is disconnected, but the power to the speakers is not shut off.
