“Can this speaker withstand being splashed? I would like to know if this speaker can withstand being splashed by water, can I take it out canoeing?”

• I have been using it in my kayak with no problems all season, I wouldn't recommend tossing it in the water but splashing it with water seems to be fine as mine has been a little wet from splashing.

• Canoeing, not too sure about because there is probably more water involved than the shower or bathe. So I would say it wouldn't hurt to try, just cover it with a plastic bag; not suffocating it though. But its not water proof, it may feel like it, but it's not! Good luck though!

• I don't think it's actually water resistant as the marketing material says that the case protects it from splashes.

• The speaker is water resistant, and there is a rubber flap that covers all the ports on the back.
