• The player has no external speaker but you can purchase mp3 speakers at Best Buy. Use an audio cable to connect. There are Jams, Insigna, Beats pill, JBL, and many others.

• I have tried to use headphones but they don't seem to be capatible. I have done some research on the subject and it seems the port that is on the device is for speakers not earphones. as far as external speakers, I would think that they are available but have to be bought separate.

• This unit has no internal speaker; you must use headphones or some external speaker to listen. The particular unit I purchased came with a set of headphones in the package.
