The picture shows pretty well what the cubes look like. I would call them ice "bullets" rather than nuggets. The ice is fully frozen, not "chewy" or "slushy" like some of the higher end "nugget ice" machines. You will pay a lot more for that type of ice. There are 3 different "size" settings, but I don't honestly have a use for smaller cubes. On the largest setting, where we keep it, the cubes are just a littler larger than the diameter of the mouth of a plastic 20oz pop bottle. Its a nice little machine, and as long as you have realistic expectations, it wi serve you well!
