I bought my elderly mother this set. It does not come with an optical audio cable. We have bought two different optical audio cable one of which was Insignia but it doesn't fit.:(

When you purchase the cable, it comes with little tiny caps over the ends of the cable. You must remove them to be able to insert the cable.

A digital optical audio cable should work with this docking station, make sure you remove the cap.
