“According to replies about the battery, supposedly it cannot be replaced. That being said, how long will the unit last, say using it 4-5 hours per day?”

Since the batteries can last as long as 10 hours I would [once or twice a month] leave it on until the batteries drain completely and charge it fully so it doesn't develop battery memory and only lasts 4-5 hours only. How long the batteries last should be years with normal use...
