• I have no idea. We plug it in the wall or use it with a battery. But in my opinion.. I dont see why you couldn’t use it with the lighter socket (adapter sold separately). It has a fairly long telescope antenna and honestly using it with a battery last pretty long. Hope this helps.

• I think it would work, the power supply is 5 volts, so be sure you have a 5 Volts adapter with Positive on center pin. The power pack says 1.2 Amps, which should not be too much for cigarette lighter. Best of my knowledge, no warranty I am completely right.
