• Based on my experience with the older version of this radio, could you save the HD2 station to a memory location?

• The reason is that when you turn the radio on, it has to reacquire the HD signal before you're able to choose which HD channel you want. I think in your case when you turn the radio on it automatically goes to the main channel, and once you hear the channel in HD, you can tune it to your desired HD channel.
