Laptop Power adapters like this provide power up to their maximum wattage depending upon the need of your laptop. So if you have a 90W laptop, it will supply only the needed 90W of power that it needs - likewise if you have a laptop that needs the full 180W of power, this power adapter will have enough wattage to support it.

Replacing a 45 watt supply with a 180 watt supply is likely overkill, but totally fine. If you use a higher power charger for a laptop, your charger will be cooler as a result. For those who are interested, the power is the product of the voltage output (~19 volts) and the maximum current output (~9.4 ampere) to give us about 180 watts. As long as your computer uses the same voltage it'll be fine.
