“I have a 240hz HDMI compatible tv that is only 1080p resolution that I wish to run a high-end gaming laptop on with DP alt mode. I am trying to display in 240hz refresh rate. Since this adapter allows 4k display @ 60hz, does it also allow 1080p @ 240hz?”

Hi Robert, Plug & Play, no drivers. HDMI 2.0 resolution supports up to 4K@60hz. Up to 144hz for 1440P and 240hz for FHD.
