Does this work with a Nintendo switch null

Correction on my previous answer. The multiport I recommended does not seem to work with the Switch. I based my recommendation off of another answer, but just found out otherwise after buying one myself. I connected the Switch's usb type c for power and hdmi from my dock, but the screen lit up as it always does when undocked.

No. In order for the Switch to recognize that it is in docked mode, it has to receive power while sending video and audio at the same time. You will need to buy an adapter that has a USB or USB type C input as well as HDMI such as the product below.
