• A:Answer You may find that your device does not provide power to your USB port, and I have had no luck using a thumb drive with tablets, etc. It may be necessary to transfer thumb drive contents that you wish to transfer to a laptop or desktop first, and then transfer from there to your smaller display unit.

• A:Answer I hope so! My wife uses an Ipad 4 (outdated) and I need to get her a new one. Although a "Windows guy" I have to do tech support on her iPad. Very frustrating that the iPad will not accept USB sticks. Hopefully, the rumors are true and the new iPads this fall will all accept USB-C devices...and that should include this adapter. It worked beautifully on the Microsoft Surface GO.
