“Will using this stand help keep the ps4 from overheating? My machine gets incredibly hot, especially underneath, where its been sitting flat on my dresser.”

So I have a cooling stand with charging docks and three usb and it worked great but you can tell it’s cheap but I’ve had the same problem with it laying down even with a fan on high 24/7 I was at a loss I even stuck it in my floor during the summer with a fan and it helped but nothing like what I done next and I was trying to find a way to get some air under it without spending any money or having to build something ridiculous so I stacked two empty cigarettes packs and and taped them together as long as the tops tight they won’t collapse but I made three and with a fan right next to it . Probably the best cost effective and efficient solution. I feel like I should put this too so I’ve had my ps4 since August of 2017 and I have yet to ever blow it out or trying to take it apart to clean it but you can tell when I load up warzone sound like a diesel starting but going on 8 years and that I got a smart tv so I can take it apart and have time to do it good and do it right

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It will help. The ps4 runs cooler standing up in tower mode. Even if you already have it standing up, this will add a little more airflow below, and reduce the chance of it tipping over.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It might, but it's not guaranteed. Before buying things to address the over heating I suggest doing the following: 1. Power off & unplug your PS4 2. Use a vacuum to remove any loose dusk from the exhaust ports of the PS4 3. Use a shop vac set to "blow" or a can of compressed air to loosen dirt that settled inside the PS4 4. Use a vacuum to remove any loose dust from previous step. 5. Put large plastic bottle caps on each corner of the PS4 to elevate it from the surface it sits on. Elevating the PS4 will allow cool air to flow between the dresser (wood?) surface and the PS4 and letting the heat move away from the console.
