Hi sherbs. This device works as any normal USB HUB, it's just a hardware extension for the ports already on the back of the unit. As far as I know, if you have a wireless keyboard that includes it's own USB dongle, it should have no problems working with an Xbox One S. Charles V. - Insignia Support

These headsets connect to your Xbox like your remotes do. It doesn’t require an adapter. As for your keyboard/mouse questions check the compatibility list they just released. They update it about every month or so.
