• Actually, it's a rubber band. But I lay on my back and it stays in place for movies. Makes a great little portable cinema.

• No. There is a version with one. Also, it is easy to add your own. I've seen old headbands/hat liners, suspenders and similar used... IMO, a headband is not necessary unless you also have a wireless remote mouse-thingie to use with it.
