• You can find the latest firmware on the Google Home website. The latest is 1.30.111201. Their software is way out of date and I had to return my clock/speaker unit because it couldn't do what a true Google Home device can do.

• Mine just upgraded from 105 to 306, so I'm guessing this is the latest system firmware, which presumably is created by insignia. The 1.28.101872 refers, i think, to Google's portion. See: https://support.google.com/googlehome/answer/7365257?hl=en#, where 1.29.106111 is listed as the latest.
