• Huh? I just unplug mine and nothing changes. The battery takes over, no switch or feature to do to make battery take over, it's automatic.

• The smaller Insignia clock speaker with Google Assistant does NOT have a battery. If you have the smaller one, it will turn off when you unplug it. Only the larger Insignia smart speaker with clock has a built in battery. This is confusing because they both look identical on a computer screen... in person the one with the batter is almost double the size.
