• Regarding the output, there is a 3.5 mm jack (AUX), where you can connect another speaker or even a headphone set. About the sound while charging, it will only take longer to fully charge but there is no sound difference. Adolfo M. - Insignia Products

• No, when you play it with the usb plugged in, it is only charging the battery. The specification did not write out the power in watt of the speaker output.
