Mine didnt connect to echo dot too. Guess its not compatible

Try and enter the code that came with it I think mine was 1234

I was able to successfully pair it with an Echo dot in my den so I can listen to music outside while on the balcony. I haven't tried issuing any commands, but it streams music great. I use my phone to control the music by saying something like "Alexa, play xxxx on Den".
