3 Watts is what the manual says.

Yes, the power of a speaker is determined by WATT.
I notice no BT speakers, large or small, in their spec specify the WATT used by the "driver".
It all have "DC input 5V, 2A"
A physics formula for WATT is, Watt = Volt x Amp
So it is 5 x 2 = 10; 10 Watt in whole for the whole device.
So, I assume 8 watt in reserve for the battery and the amplifier and other electronics, so 2W is max for the driver.

Not sure if this is affected by your statement because this speaker is Bluetooth and therefore wireless
