• Yep, as long as you have an internet connection,it should work. I've done it from up to 700 miles from home.

• I have mine paired with HomeKit, and as long as you have a hub (either a dedicated iPad running at home, or a 4th Generation Apple TV or later), you should be able to control this from anywhere.
