• Switch is on the bottom. Not so easy with big fingers. If the mouse does not move, it is dead. Same with a live mouse.

• The On/Off switch is on the bottom. When there is no battery, the light will not turn on.

• There's a small switch on the bottom. When on there's a pulsing red LED. My battery is yet to run down but I presume performance will drop off and the LED will start to dim when the battery is getting low.
