AutoCAD will entirely depend on your use case, but for 2D its more than enough. 3D should also work ok but this does not have double precision which can cause issues. The python libraries for ML and the like usually default to CUDA which is Nvidia specific and support for others is lacking or less performant. If you want a good experience there, you will want to stick with Nvidia.
