Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't answer about if they can install it or not. But I can say it should be a significant upgrade in terms of CPU power. However, you may want to either disable the e-cores or upgrade to Windows 11 as Windows 10 is not great at scheduling between the p-cores and e-cores.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This would definitely be a pretty big upgrade. However, this cpu uses a different motherboard than an 8th gen Intel like you currently have. It will be more than just popping the old cpu out and a new one in- you're looking at pulling everything out of your pc, transferring it to a new motherboard and putting it all back together. I can't speak to whether best buy's geek squad would do that for you, though. It'd honestly be easier on you and cheaper in the long run to just get a new pc if you aren't technologically-inclined enough to make the swap yourself.

Since the socket supported by the motherboard is different, you would not be able to upgrade to Intel® Core™ i7-12700K. It is important that the motherboard is compatible with the socket supported by the processor. Thank you for choosing Intel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It would definitely be a worthy upgrade. However, if you haven't already you'll need to get a motherboard that supports an LGA1700 socket Intel processor. I'm using the MSI Z690 Edge for mine. These latest processors from Intel also tend to run a little hot depending on what you're using them for (gaming, design, video encode/decode), so you'll also need to consider a cpu cooler since it doesn't come with one. I would get at least an air cooled one if you only plan on using it for light tasks, or liquid cooled for heavier tasks. I'm not sure about BB installing for you, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask your local geek squad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Would require new motherboard as older ones are not compatible.
