she can download to laptop. She wont pay for a monthly subscription for 1 year till Intuit decides to send update and require subscriber to pay . If she can back up her data on her own ( ie. PC back up or any cloud) she wont have to pay Intuit QB to do the same as that is what they are trying to push.. she can select what she needs without additional costs for Intuit to back up
