• I think it gets is power from the USB so the answer is PROBABLY no. There is no way to attach an external power supply to it.

• use a wireless keyboard and mouse usb dongle put the usb dongle on the unit then let both computers update the usb drivers will take about 10 minutes use your wired unit remote to switch back and forth to see drivers installing about 10 min. then test your 1 mouse and 1 keyboard on both sides.Note you must at least have 2 empty usb slots on both computers.

• Yes, just hook up the monitor cables and not the USB cables for peripherals.
