Hello Sam: This device can give you an extension of your desktop or a copy of your desktop, that means that you will see any movement of your mouse or input in the keyboard in this screen. The keyboard and mouse will remain connected to your computer. The use of a wireless keyboard will give you the illusion that your TV screen "is" your computer. I could get it to work using my laptop and the included dongle; however, I was unable to pair it with my Samsung Android phone. I hope this answers your question. Good luck!
