This speaker does not have an optical input. But any analog output on the back of the television should allow you to run a cable into the Aux input, I would suspect there is a red and white rca output on the TV somewhere, that would probably be best. This speaker also has a 1/4" audio input, as well as a 1/8". Note: Do not plug the tv into the Mic input as it could cause damage to internal components.
