Yes.. that's how I'm using mine.. the suction is strong.

If your dash has any texture to it, the suction may not hold.

Hi Scott, the suction cup can be used directly on the dashboard, but if you have a textured dashboard, we recommend using the dash pad. Please note that if the suction cup gets dusty or dirty, you can rinse it under warm water and let it air dry to restore the tacky grip.
