A:AnswerYour photos and contacts should be fine if they are just replacing the battery. Mine were. I lost a year's worth of photos (since my iCloud storage was full) when I dropped my powered phone into the water. but if the phone is undamaged and not shorted out, then you photos etc. should be there when the battery is replaced. At least that was my experience.

We more than likely wouldn't be able to take the battery from the iPhone 6 and put it in the Xs because of compatibility and size differences. I hope this helps. A:AnswerNo ! I bought my iPhone at Verizon. Apple directed me to Best Buy to have the battery replaced. Wow ! What a difference in my phone, it works great ! And a lot less than buying a new phone !
A:AnswerOr you can make an appt a week in advance and then show up for said appt and they still don’t have the battery you need in stock and just let you waste your time. Legit happened to me today. Lame!
A:AnswerWhen I got mine first they had to order the battery. I got to keep my phone while waiting for the part. Once it came in it took like 2-21/2 hours for them to get it done. Make sure you take off you case and scree protecter and be prepared for it to be covered in fingerprints.
A:AnswerI’m about to get my iPhone 12 mini battery replaced, if you make an appt be sure to call anyway to see if they even have a battery in stock for your phone. I had an appt and they weren’t even sure if they had a battery but didn’t have a tech or enough time. They are telling me 3-4 hours to get it done after I had to set up another appt. Hopefully doesnt take that long. $89 without Apple Care.
